Giving

Shoukry Group supports charitable giving structures and organisations that align with our beliefs.

How we give

Waqf

Permanent endowments whose capital is preserved and whose income supports a named purpose. This is the largest part of our giving and the part we consider most durable, since a well-managed waqf outlives everyone who established it.

Sadaqah jariyah

Contributions to assets that keep producing benefit after the gift is made. This includes systems such as water sanitation, teaching facilities and health clinics.

Zakat

Calculated annually across qualifying assets and distributed through recognised channels, separately from discretionary giving.

Direct grants

Multi-year, unrestricted where possible, made to organisations whose work we have seen at close range.

What we support

Food security and agriculture

Programmes improving yield, storage and access in food-insecure communities across the region and East Africa.

Technical and vocational training

Institutions producing the mechanics, technicians, engineers and machine operators that regional industry needs and consistently struggles to recruit.

Education

Scholarship endowments at Gulf institutions, weighted towards students who would otherwise not attend, and waqf-funded provision for orphaned children.

Healthcare access

Clinical facilities and treatment funds in underserved communities, including a standing commitment to paediatric care.

Digital literacy

Programmes bringing practical technology skills to students outside major urban centres.
